According to West African Yoruba tradition, alignment with one's ORI—the divine essence of the self—is achieved through balancing the physical and spiritual realms. The Ori House embodies this balance, seeking to understand what it truly means to express oneself authentically by harmonizing our environments and creations with our beliefs and life’s purpose. Through our commissioned works, we bridge the gap between the tangible and the spiritual, channeling our aspirations for the future into the spaces we create, and shaping a legacy for the generations to come."

Challenging the Status Quo

Our commissioned works represent an invitation to fellow art lovers and creators to engage more deeply in the living, evolving process of art-making. We believe that the act of supporting contemporary artists goes beyond financial transactions—it is an exchange of ideas, time, passion, and shared commitment to fostering community. By investing in art, we invest in the future of creativity itself, recognizing that true support for artists comes from a collective effort to nurture and celebrate their vision. In this way, our commissioned works create a meaningful dialogue between artist and collector, forging connections that transcend the material and touch upon the profound impact art has on our lives, our culture, and the world around us.

Creating Meaning Through Connection and Participation

The ORI collective aims to redefine what it means to be a collector today and in future. We believe that by fostering collaboration between contemporary artists and collectors— whether for private or public spaces—we are also creating new pathways for artistic expression, while also reframing the conversation around the role of art in the lives of its living participants.

Through such partnerships, we aim to forge a deeper, more meaningful connection between art and those engaged with it. We also aim to contribute a more authentic and evolving definition of contemporary art, one driven by dialogue, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future.

Commissioning the Future

Commissions provide artists and artisans with the critical funding they need to advance a particular body of work or to continue developing their craft.

In these collaborations, we encourage artists to conceptualize pieces that challenge the status quo and inspire new conversations within the art market.

Our goal is to introduce innovative interpretations of interactivity - blending tactile and technologically enhanced experiences that invite audiences to engage in unexpected and transformative ways.

The Ori House commissions seek to push boundaries, expand creative horizons, and open new avenues of exploration and expression.
