Alvaro Guilherme


Álvaro Tavares Guilherme is a self-taught painter and poet. originally from Angola. He moved to Lisbon as an 8-year-old and moved to Berlin in 2018 to pursue his career as a painter.

Also, a pioneer of the Neo-Brut movement, Guilherme’s paintings, which combine rawness and precision, aim for pure creative expression.

The absence of academic structure, post-contemporary referential elements and concepts is obvious, with a direct effect on the viewer.
